At Little Discoveries, protecting children's privacy is our highest priority. Our application is designed as a calm, safe, and educational exploration experience for young minds (ages 4–9) and their families, without collecting personal data or exposing children to online risks.
1. Zero Personal Data Collection
We believe learning apps for young children have no business collecting personal information. Specifically:
- No Accounts: We do not require account creation, registration, email sign-up, or login.
- No Personal Information: We do not ask for names, email addresses, phone numbers, birthdates, or contact details.
- No Geolocation: We do not collect GPS data, IP-based location, or precise geolocation.
- No Device Tracking or Identifiers: We do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA, AAID), vendor IDs, or unique device fingerprints.
- No Media or Sensor Access: We do not request access to the device camera, microphone, photo library, or address book.
2. 100% Ad-Free Experience
Little Discoveries is completely ad-free. We do not display third-party banner ads, video interstitials, rewarded ads, or affiliate promotional trackers of any kind. Children are never interrupted by commercial solicitations.
3. Global Child Safety Compliance (COPPA, GDPR-K & Store Guidelines)
Little Discoveries is strictly architected in full compliance with global children's privacy standards:
- COPPA: Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (United States).
- GDPR-K: General Data Protection Regulation child-protection provisions (European Union).
- Apple App Store Kids Category Guidelines: Strictly verified for ages 5 and under / ages 6–8.
- Google Play Families Policy: Fully compliant with Designed for Families requirements.
4. In-App Purchases & Parental Gate Protection
The core Universe module is 100% free forever. Optional educational modules (such as Prehistoric Earth and World Animals) can be unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase. We do not use recurring subscriptions.
All payment transactions are handled directly and securely by official store platforms:
- Apple App Store: Processed via Apple StoreKit using parent Apple ID authentication.
- Google Play Store: Processed via Google Play Billing.
Little Discoveries never receives, processes, or stores your credit card, banking, or billing details. To protect children from accidental purchases, all commercial flows and external links are strictly guarded behind an adult mathematical Parental Gate.
5. Local Storage & Offline Playability
All child progress (unlocked badges, discovered items) and audio/language preferences are stored strictly locally on the family device. Once downloaded, the app requires zero internet connection to play. If the app is uninstalled, locally stored progress is deleted.
